Lap up the Sunshine

Growing up in Brisbane, Australia I enjoyed endless Summers on the Gold Coast surfing, playing in the sand, and spending Christmas day eating prawns and other delicious local seafood around a picnic table. Yes, that’s right – many families enjoy Christmas and the New Years on the beach lapping up the golden sunshine.

As I sit here today in our RV along the California Coastline, the cooler temperatures are tempting enough to browse the Internet looking for a great deal to head South to warmer weather. No matter how pretty the snow looks and is fun to play around with, I’m a true Aussie who loves the warmer weather.

For those of you seeking to escape the cold this season and enjoy the warmth of the Australian sunshine, I thought I would share some great destinations from my home state.  I discovered a company entitled the Mantra Group. They have many locations in all the right destinations for a memorable and luxury vacation for international travels. Here are four destinations I love in the Mantra Group’s portfolio in my home state of Queensland, Australia.

Airlie Beach – The gateway to the Whitsunday’s. If you’re going to visit Australia, you must visit this destination to explore the Great Barrier Reef.

Noosa – Close to my hometown, Noosa is a relaxing destination for those who love the beach mixed with hustle and bustle of small-town charm.

Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas is a must experience accommodation to enjoy while visiting the area.

Fraser Coast – The Fraser Coast is home to Fraser Island. I visited the island when I was 12 years old with family friends. I’ll never forget how beautiful it was. I saw wild horses and dingo, a memory I hold dear to my heart. The Fraser Coast is a premier destination for whale watching and a place rich with history. Take a look at this lovely resort in Harvey Bay.

Port Douglas  – “The breathtaking Port Douglas is located just one hour from Cairns in the region better known as Tropical North Queensland, the ideal place to enjoy the pleasures of both the Great Barrier Reef and the magnificent Daintree Forest. When traveling from Cairns, you can sit back and enjoy a car ride boasting beautiful forest and Coral Sea views or take one of the shuttle buses constantly doing rounds in the area. Port Douglas is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere making it the perfect location to put all your worries behind you.”

Take a look at Mantra Heritage.

Mantra Heritage is the perfect place to stay on your Tropical North Queensland holiday, located in the heart of Port Douglas just 200 meters from the golden beach and a few seconds walk to popular Macrossan Street’s award-winning cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

All wonderful destinations to lap up the sun this season!
